FeNO (fractional exhaled nitric oxide) is a biomarker for eosinophilic inflammation and indicates inflammatory activity in allergic asthma. Vivatmo pro measures the NO concentration in exhaled air and provides immediate results to confirm the diagnosis and monitor therapy.

The FeNO value enables doctors to detect allergic inflammation of the airways at an early stage and to closely monitor its progression during therapy. Elevated FeNO values can indicate a worsening of the course of the disease even before lung function tests show any abnormalities, which enables early therapeutic intervention. The measured values can be seamlessly integrated into the GANSHORN LFX software, which generates comprehensive reports from spirometry, body plethysmography and FeNO.
